1. Who We Are

GetFixHero ( www.getfixhero.com ) is a dispatch service that connects homeowners in the Greater Toronto Area with independent local plumbers. We are not a plumbing company — we qualify your request and route it to a plumber who can help.

2. What Personal Data We Collect

When you submit a plumbing request — whether through our website intake form or via Facebook Messenger — we collect the following personal data:

• Name — so the plumber knows who they're calling and can address you properly.
• Phone number — so a plumber can call you to discuss the job and confirm an appointment.
• Address and postal code — so we can confirm you're within our service area and route you to a plumber who covers your neighbourhood.
• Details of your plumbing issue — including the job type (e.g. drain clearing, leak repair, water heater), urgency, whether you own or rent the property, and any description you provide of the problem.

If you contact us through Facebook Messenger, we also collect your Facebook sender ID so we can maintain the conversation thread and reply to your messages.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your personal data to:

• Qualify your request (confirm your area, job type, and urgency).
• Connect you with a local plumber who can perform the work.
• Send you messages via Facebook Messenger or SMS about your request, including routing updates and appointment reminders.
• Contact you if there are questions about your plumbing issue.

We do not use your personal data for marketing or advertising purposes.

4. How We Share Your Information to Complete Your Job

We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we never share it with anyone for marketing or lead-generation purposes. We do not share your consent or opt-in information with any other business.

To carry out the job you asked us for, we pass your name, phone number, address and a description of your plumbing issue to the one independent plumber assigned to your request. That plumber needs it to contact you, reach your property and do the work. They receive it solely to complete your job. The assigned plumber is an independent contractor, not an employee of GetFixHero, and is responsible for the plumbing work performed.

Beyond that, we disclose your information only where it is needed to deliver the service you requested, or where the law requires it.

5. Facebook Messenger

We use Facebook Messenger as a communication channel for customers who prefer to reach us through that platform. When you message our Facebook Page, the conversation is processed through the Meta (Facebook) platform. Your messages, sender ID, and any information you share in the conversation are transmitted through Facebook's infrastructure. Meta's own privacy policies apply to data they collect and process. 6. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill your plumbing request and for a reasonable period afterward to handle any follow-up questions, warranty issues, or disputes related to the service.

7. Your Right to Request Deletion

You have the right to request that we delete your personal data at any time. To do so, contact us using any of the methods below and include your name and the phone number or email you used when submitting your request:
